What is the difference between FCL and LCL? LCL means that the carrier accepts less than a full container of goods from the shipper, and then classifies the goods according to the type and destination, and gathers the goods at the same destination into LCL And FCL means a whole container by sea.

LCL means that the carrier accepts less than a full container of goods from the shipper, and then classifies the goods according to the type and destination, and gathers the goods at the same destination into LCL And FCL means a whole container by sea.

At present, there are mainly two kinds of packaging in the market. One is full-container shipping and the other is bulk cargo LCL shipping. What are the advantages and disadvantages of full-container shipping and LCL shipping?

FCL shipping advantage:

1. In the process of customs clearance, the entire shipping container is the smallest unit inspected by the customs. Therefore, the carrier of the whole container only needs to provide the corresponding documentation to the Customs according to the normal procedure. As long as they meet the requirements, they can go through customs immediately, which is very efficient.

2. In terms of flexibility, shipping container is much higher than shipping container, because shipping container requires the carrier to wait for the opportunity, that is, all the scattered goods can be assembled into container at the same port of destination, which may consume a lot of waiting time. Shipping container is not like this, but direct container operation is very convenient and efficient.

LCL shipping disadvantages:

Since the goods of several companies are assembled together, all the documents and information need to be collected and submitted by the corresponding companies in customs clearance, which wastes a lot of communication time. Once the goods are not cleared for customs inspection, the whole goods need to be kept until all the goods pass the customs inspectio.
